Smriti Irani and kids ring bell, clap hands to celebrate Janata Curfew. Video is hit on Internet

fter Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s address to the nation on Thursday, citizens went on a Janata Curfew today. The PM had urged people to stay inside their homes from 7 am to 9 pm and practice social distancing, in order to control the spread of the novel coronavirus.

He also asked them to stand on their balconies and support doctors and servicemen by banging thalis, ringing bells and clapping hands for five minutes at 5 pm.

And today, like many Indian citizens, even Union Minister Smriti Irani also came out in her lawn along with her kids and other members living at her home to hail the people working against the novel virus.

Smriti took to Instagram to post a video with the caption, “United we stand in gratitude towards all health and frontline workers, security personnel, everyone in the line of duty … thank you for serving us selflessly.”
